The Advance Electrical Laboratory focuses on key areas of electrical engineering, including Power converter-based systems for enabling students to design and develop efficient power conversion solutions, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques which crucial for controlling power electronic devices, Power quality indices to aware students about the importance of maintaining high power quality standards, Energy efficiency analysis of various power electronic systems, Battery charging techniques, Essential for electric vehicle (EV) technology Control of EV drives, Advanced energy auditing for industries, Integration of solar PV with other energy sources and grid.
This laboratory aims to equip students with extensive practical knowledge and skills in advanced electrical systems, empowering them to excel in the rapidly evolving green technology landscape.
The laboratory setups to provide comprehensive training for learners aspiring to fill critical job roles in the electrical and renewable energy sectors, including Motor Control/Variable Frequency Drive Operator, E-Rickshaw Maintenance Technician/Engineer, Inverter/UPS Technician, Heating Oven System Designer and Advanced Energy Auditor. The laboratory offers specially designed short-term courses which are open to students with educational qualifications starting from 10th standard onwards, providing a pathway for Skill development and enhancement, Career advancement and Entrepreneurship opportunities.
